Two hurt in shooting incidents

ROXAS CITY, Capiz — Two persons were injured in separate shooting incidents Sunday evening in Panay, Capiz.

Jonas Deceber Almorin, 30, of Sitio Bagucam Brgy. Candual Panay was rushed to a hospital here after he was shot by Tommy dela Cruz, 42, of said place.

Police reports indicated that Almorin was on his way home around 8:30pm when he was shot.

The victim came from dela Cruz’s house after a drinking binge. The suspect fled after the incident.

The police have yet to establish the motive behind the incident.

Meanwhile, a 30-year-old farmer was shot by riding in tandem suspects Sunday midnight in Brgy. Cogon Panay.

Police identified the victim as Marlon Bernas Huecas of Brgy. Lus-unan, Panay.

Investigation by Police Corporal Jesmar C. Barredo of Panay Municipal Police Station indicated that Huecas was drinking liquor with two friends in a waiting shed when three suspects on board a motorcycle arrived.

Without any word, the suspects shot Huecas in the chest then fled.

The victim was taken to Bailan District Hospital in Pontevedra, Capiz.
