Turkmenistan resumes football leagues with crowd

A month after Turkmenistan decided to suspend its national football league, all operations are now back to normal.

In the first game since the cancelation due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Turkmenistan decided to bring back its national league after reporting no positive cases for the virus.

Since February, Turkmenistan belonged to one of the few countries which have not reported any case.

With football activities back to normal, they also allowed the entry of those who wished to watch the games with no limit of entry.

On April 19, 2020, Turkmenistan held its first football game after the suspension with a match between Altyn Asyr and Kopetdag delighting the 500 football enthusiasts who graced.

The league started its suspension on March 24, 2020, coming from the decision from the higher board with all agreeing to cancel for safety measures.
