A suspected drug pusher who doubles as a tricycle driver was arrested in a police anti-narcotics operation early morning of April 22, 2022 on Iznart Street, City Proper District, Iloilo City.

Members of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 6 (RPDEU-6), Iloilo City Police Station 1, and the Iloilo City Mobile Force Company jointly arrested 41-year-old Feleo Sarsowa of Barangay Monica Blumentritt, City Proper after allegedly selling a sachet of suspected shabu for P12,000.

The suspect yielded eight sachets of suspected shabu, a mobile phone, a Honda TMX 125 motorcycle, and other non-drug items.

Lieutenant Colonel Mark Anthony Darroca, RPDEU-6 chief, said that the seized drugs weighed 15 grams and valued at P102,000.

He said the suspect is considered a street level pusher because he could dispose 10 to 50 grams of shabu per week.

“Being a tricycle driver was just his front to distribute and sell shabu,” Darroca said.

The suspect had no prior conviction or arrest.

But just like the previous drug arrests, Sarsowa’s illegal drug transactions also emanated from the New Bilibid Prison.

He allegedly made mention of a certain Motmot as his source,

Sarsowa’s name reached the police’s attention after he was identified as one of the downlines of arrested drug suspects.

His areas of operation include the districts of La Paz and City Proper districts.

The suspect is now detained and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
