BACOLOD City – A tricycle driver died while a motorcycle rider was wounded in a road accident at Barangay Luna, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental last Wednesday.
Police identified the fatality as Juniper Labrador, 31, of Barangay Burgos.
Wounded was Moises Dorimon Jr., 54, of Barangay Luna.
Police Staff Sergeant Dindo Ebag, traffic investigator of Cadiz City Police Station, said that Dorimon’s motorcycle allegedly overtook a truck it was tailing.
But he failed to notice from afar Labrador’s parked tricycle at the roadside.
“Medyo dulom na da abi na area,” Ebag said.
Ebag said that Labrador was fixing his tricycle when he was hit by the motorcycle.
Labrador died on the spot while Dorimon was taken to a hospital in Silay City.
