Tri-bikes for beautification

ILOILO CITY Mayor Jose Espinosa III turned over two tri-bikes to City Agriculturist’s Office during City Hall flag raising ceremony on Feb 4, 2019.

Espinosa said the vehicles will serve as monitoring units to maintain the cleanliness and beauty of city as a complimentary support for operational system of beautification program.

“We want to make sure that the city will give attention to watering ornamental plants. As summer season is about to come, we don’t want our plants to wither,” Espinosa said.

City Agriculturist Romulo Pangantihon said the tri-bikes will be augmented to monitor the condition of plants and beautification personnel’s priority areas.

“The functions of the beautification program can be ease up. At the same time, we can minimize the destruction of plants particularly those in jeepney stops. We have to make the public aware,” Pangantihon said.

“We are learning to develop and improve the management capability in running the program, for we know that the impression of people who visit Iloilo City is a big factor to us,” he said. (Roger Paul Timothy L. Lacuarta/Iloilo City PIO)
