TOWN UNDER COMELEC CONTROL: Moises Padilla police chief relieved,

 

BACOLOD City – The chief of police of Moises Padila, Negros Occidental has been relieved even as the Commission on Elections (Comelec) en banc approved the recommendation to place the town under its control.

Police Lt. Col. Adrian Accolador will replace Lt. Coronel Junjie Liba in a turnover ceremony today, May 6, 2019, at the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo) parade grounds.

Col. Romeo Baleros, Nocppo director, designated Accolador, who is also the Special Task Group commander of Moises Padilla-La Castellana-Isabela (MOLAI), to head the Moises Padilla force.

Meanwhile, the Comelec en banc has approved the recommendation to place the town of Moiss Padilla under its control.

Atty. Jose Nick Mendros, Comelec-6 director, told Aksyon Radyo Bacolod said that Comelec Commissioner Antonio Kho will arrive here today to meet with top PNP and military officials.

Mendros said a task force or Comelec control committee will be established here.

The Regional Joint Security Control Center (RJSCC) in Western Visayas (Region 6) recommended placing Moises Padilla under Comelec control due to recent violent incidents like the deadly ambush on the convoy of Vice Mayor and mayoralty bet Ella Garcia-Yulo last month.
