Town breaks ground for P12.4-M worth of infra projects

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The groundbreaking and blessing of P12.4 million worth of infrastructure projects in Jamindan, Capiz was held Wednesday morning.

Jamindan Mayor Mac Arthur Valdemar together with the town and barangay officials, department heads and Rev. Fr. Niel Olano, Jamindan parish priest led the event.

The five infrastructure projects include:

  1. Tourist Info Center in Poblacion, Jamindan with a budget of P2.9M from the office of Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri
  2. Plaza Improvement Project – (esplanade) in Barangay Poblacion, Jamindan with a budget of P2M coming from the LGU Development Fund
  3. Municipal Slaughterhouse Phase 1 in Barangay Pangabuan, Jamindan with total budget of P2.25M coming from the LGU Development Fund
  4. Swimming Pool Project in Suhoton Cave with the P3-M fund coming from LGU Development Fund.

Meanwhile, the Function Hall of Suhoton Cave in Brgy Agcagay, Jamindan was also blessed.

The P2.3M budget came from the Performance Challenge Fund of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) after the town earned the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG).

“Ang ini nga Function Hall project isa ka pamatuod sang dedikasyon, pagpangabudlay, pagbinuligay kag sinsero nga serbisyo sang tanan tungod maka-access lang sa sini nga pondo ang pasado sa DILG SGLG National Level,” Valdemar said.
