Tokhang surrenderer nabbed with P476K worth of shabu

A surrenderer of Oplan Tokhang was arrested anew in a police anti-illegal drugs operation evening of March 26, 2021 in Jaro, Iloilo City.

Police identified the suspect as 44-year-old Abner Abraham, a resident of MYL Subdivision in Barangay Buhang, Jaro, who was collared at C1 Road, also in Buhang village around 8 p.m. Friday.

Members of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU) Team 3, together with Jaro Police Station, collared Abraham after he allegedly sold a sachet of suspected shabu for P15,000.

Police also recovered from Abraham 13 more sachets of suspected shabu placed inside a plastic bag, a mobile phone, the marked money, a cigarette case, and an empty plastic bag.

Cops also confiscated his wallet with different identification cards, P4,638.15 cash, and his mountain bike.

Drugs seized from his possession was valued of P476,000.

Sources said that the suspect surrendered through Oplan Tokhang in 2016.

Police Captain Eduardo Siacon, Jaro police chief, said the suspect had been on their watchlist of illegal drug personalities.

Illegal drug personalities who were arrested in Pavia town in Iloilo province claimed that Abraham had been their source of illegal drug supply.

The suspect is now detained and has been charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
