The TNT Tropang Giga avoided a meltdown late and survived a fiery run by Rain or Shine’s import Henry Walker, 95-92, to improve to 2-2 in the ongoing 2021 PBA Governor’s Cup.

It was also import Aaron Fuller’s debut with the Tropang Giga who took the place of the injured McKenzie Moore.

The American athletic big man finished with a double-double in his first game donning the yellow and black with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Leading by as much as 13 points in the final canto of the game, TNT was in danger of squandering the lead and the game when Rain or Shine’s Walker went unconscious from the field and made an 11-0 scoring run on his own.

Fortunately, Walker’s last three-point attempt didn’t go in, resulting in a Tropang Giga stop that avoided a come-from-behind loss against the Elastopainters.

After missing the trey with 3.2 seconds left in the ball game, Rain or Shine center Beau Belga then fouled Poy Erram that sent him to the charity stripe, draining both of his attempts.

TNT’s Mikey Williams suddenly came alive as the super rookie erupted for 25 points, six assists, and five rebounds.

“One of the big things that we continue building in our team is agility, understanding that the current, the reality that we’re playing in is really unpredictability,” said head coach Chot Reyes.
