Tiangge sa DENR

DENR-6 Regional Executive Director Francisco E. Milla Jr. leads the ceremonial cutting of ribbon which formally opened the Tianggesa DENR as part of the DENR Day on June 10, 2019; Recycled products and handcrafted shawls from Miag-ao, Iloilo; Local produce such as bananas, chicharon and salabat; RED Milla buys native foods packed in banana leaves from one of the tiangge.

THE Department of Environment and Natural Resources in Region 6 put up booths for its Tiangge at the courtyard of the regional office where accredited Peoples Organizations (POs) displayed and sold various goods–recyclable materials, native foods, fruits and handicrafts.

Regional Executive Director Francisco E. Milla Jr. encouraged employees to buy and patronized products from the POs which promote environmentally friendly products and practices.

It is also a way of helping our local producers to generate more income. The Tiangge sa DENR is part of the lined-up activities of the Environment Month 2019with the theme: Beat Air Pollution. (DENR-6)
