Three ‘wanted persons’ in Negros fall

BACOLOD City – Three alleged wanted persons in Negros Occidental were arrested in separate areas on Monday.

In Valladolid town, a 40-year-old man from Hinigaran town, who is wanted for rape, was collared at Barangay Tabao.

The suspect, whose name was withheld, was listed as the No. 1 most wanted person in Hinigaran town, according to a report from Police Regional Office (PRO)-6.

The arrest warrant with no bail recommended was issued by Presiding Judge Walter Zorilla of the Regional Trial Court Branch 55 in Himamaylan City on Aug 9, 2019.

Police reports indicated that the accused allegedly sexually abused and molested a minor sometime in 2009 to 2014.

In Murcia town, Romel Robles, 32, of Barangay Salvacion, the No. 1 most wanted person in the town, was arrested at Barangay Zone 2 for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Judge Sue Lynn Lowie-Jolingan of RTC Branch 53 in Bacolod City issued the arrest warrant on March 25, 2022.

The court set a bail of P40,000 and P2,000 for two counts of violation of RA 9165.

In Silay City, a 30-year-old man facing two counts of qualified rape was apprehended at Barangay Guimbala-on. He was tagged as the No. 1 most wanted person in the city.

The arrest warrant with no bail recommended was issued by Presiding Judge Leonardo Facultad Jr. of RTC Branch 69 in Silay City.

According to a police report, the suspect, whose name was withheld, allegedly raped a minor sometime in August 2021 inside his house.

Brigadier General Flynn Dongbo, PRO-6 director, lauded the operating units for their commendable accomplishments.

“Palakasin pa natin ang ating ugnayan sa mga komunidad at sa iba pang ahensya ng gobyerno para matunton at mahuli natin ang mga natitira pang may pananagutan sa batas.” Dongbo said, as he thanked the police operatives for the arrest of these wanted persons.
