Three teachers face drug charges

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Three male teachers were charged Monday for use and possession of illegal drugs before the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office here.

Police filed charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) against Rey Engarcial,  33, of Barangay Pusok Lapu-lapu City; Alvin Kho, 48, of Barangay Kamamalan, Cagayan de Oro City; and Rhandy Tandoy, Jr., 22, of Barangay Basak San Nicolas, Cebu City.

The three were caught in an alleged pot session inside a resort at Barangay Natividad, Pilar, Capiz Friday night.

Recovered from the suspects were two empty sachets with suspected shabu residue, aluminium foil, cellular phones, and a blade.

The suspects were assigned to teach in a school here. They are detained at the Pilar police station.
