BACOLOD City – Three police commissioned officers in Negros Occidental were promoted to higher ranks last Monday.

Police Majors Jake Barila, Roberto Indiape Jr., and Anthony Grande, – all personnel of Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo) here – were promoted to Police Lieutenant Colonel.

Barila and Indiape are chiefs of Escalante City Police Station and Sagay City Police Station, respectively, while Grande is the acting chief of Police Community Relations (PCR) of Nocppo.

Brigadier General Leo Francisco, director of Police Regional Office (PRO)-6, administered the oathtaking and donning of ranks in a ceremony held at the regional headquarters in Iloilo City.

According to Lieutenant Judesses Catalogo, public information officer of Nocppo, the recent development on the three policemen is fitting, considering that their ranks are appropriate to their designations.

Aside from the three, Police Major Frankie Gatila from Antique Provincial Police Office, and Police Major Juvy Navales from Iloilo City Police Office, were also promoted to Police Lieutenant Colonel.

Their promotion took effect on Sept. 21, 2022, based on an order issued by the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Camp Crame.

The promotees expressed their gratitude to the PNP for trusting them with their present ranks.

Meanwhile, Francisco, in his speech, congratulated the promotees, especially their families, for doing their share of sacrifice, unconditional love, and understanding, as it played a great role for their loved ones to reach their present ranks.
