Three most wanted persons in rape raps nabbed separately

Three most wanted persons, all accused of rape, were arrested in separate operations on Feb 7, 2023.

Police identified the suspects as Jun Silverio, Wilmar Sindingan, and Polecarpio Batolenio Jr.

Silverio, 51, a tricycle driver, and a native of San Jose, Romblon but recently residing at Sitio Tabon, Brgy Caticlan, Malay, Aklan, was arrested at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday at Sitio Villarosa, Barangay Santa Maria, Mansalay, Oriental Mindoro.

Members of Aklan Police Provincial Office-Investigation and Detective Management Unit, Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU) 6, and Malay Municipal Police Station, arrested Silverio for statutory rape by sexual assault (qualified) docketed as Criminal Case No. 16469.

Judge Bienvenido P. Barrios Jr. of the Regional Trial Court Branch 3 in Kalibo, Aklan, issued the arrest warrant on Oct. 13, 2022.

Bail for his temporary freedom was fixed at P200,000.

At about 11:20 a.m., members of Lemery Municipal Police Station, San Rafael MPS, 2nd Iloilo Provincial Mobile Force Company, and Iloilo Police Provincial Office-Special Operations Group nabbed Sindingan at Barangay Imbaulan, Lemery, Iloilo.

The 26-year-old suspect, also a driver and a resident of Barangay Pontoc, Lemery, was collared for rape by carnal knowledge docketed as CC No. 2023-10689.

Meanwhile, Batolenio, 26, of Barangay Malagab-i, Cuartero, Capiz, was arrested at 12:02 p.m. at Barangay Poblacion Ilawod, Cuartero.

Operatives of the Cuartero MPS, Capiz Provincial Police Office-Provincial Intelligence Unit, and 2nd Capiz Provincial Mobile Force Company, collared the suspect for rape by sexual assault.

Bail for his temporary liberty was fixed at P120,000.

The suspects are now detained.
