BACOLOD City – Three men who were allegedly abducted outside a convenience store in Barangay 2, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental last Wednesday, were safely released by their unidentified “abductors.”

Based on a police report, Joeramie Flores, 43, of Bago City, a certain “Josep,” 45, of Valladolid town, and a certain “Alog”, of Murcia town came from Candoni town, where they played gambling in a wake.

The three decided to go home in Bago City after playing, but they first dropped by the convenience store in Kabankalan City to have a drinking session.

A silver Toyota Innova suddenly arrived and six unidentified men allegedly forcibly dragged them to the car.

A few hours later, the three victims were released by the suspects somewhere in Ilog town after the latter took their money amounting to P80,000, which they won in the game.

In an interview with Aksyon Radyo Bacolod, Police Lieutenant Jomel Salarda, deputy chief of Kabankalan City Police Station, said the victims admitted that they cheated while playing gambling in the wake in Candoni town.

Police believed that their opponents in the game probably discovered their scheme, prompting to follow and abduct them.
