ROXAS CITY, Capiz—Three persons were arrested in separate drug sting operations over the weekend in Capiz.
Charges for violations of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002) are expected to be filed today, January 25, 2021, against Emmanuel Brinklyn Diaz, 31; and Ronel Nieron, 25, both residents of Barangay Tapulang Maayon, Capiz.
The Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) of Maayon Municipal Police Station nabbed Diaz and Nieron in a drug-bust operation Friday afternoon at Barangay Poblacion Tabuc, Maayon.
Recovered from the duo were three sachets of suspected shabu, PHP1,000 drug marked money, and a motorcycle.
Police said that Diaz was first arrested in 2016 but in 2019, he entered into a plea-bargaining agreement and later released from detention.
Meanwhile, a lady was arrested Saturday afternoon in another drug sting operation of the Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) of Ivisan Municipal Police Station at Barangay Sta. Cruz, Ivisan.
Susan Olisco, 55, of said place did not resist when the police arrested her after handing over three sachets of suspected shabu.
Also seized from Olisco were the PHP500 marked money and a coin purse.
The market value of the drug that was recovered is PHP13,600.
Olisco was a drug surrenderer.
