Three charged for illegal drug trade

ROXAS CITY, Capiz—The police have filed criminal cases against three persons for illegal drug trade Wednesday here.

Charges for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 were filed with the City Prosecutors Office against Anthony Asiatico, 32, of Brgy. Tanque, Roxas City; and his live-in partner Jesa Acutillar, 21, of Brgy. Dayao here.

The two were arrested in a drug buy bust operation conducted early Monday morning in Banica Homes, New Road Brgy. Banica, Roxas City.

Recovered from the suspects were 8 sachets of suspected illegal drug or shabu, and P1,000 marked money.

Also recovered were drug paraphernalia, a motorcycle, cellphone and a calibre .357 revolver with live ammunitions.

It was learned that the suspect was in the list of the police’s Directorate for Intelligence.

The illegal drugs recovered from the suspect weighed 11 grams with a market value of Php143,000.

Aside from illegal drugs, the suspect was also charged for violations of Republic Act 19591 or Firearms and Ammunition Law.

Meanwhile, one more person was charged for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 in President Roxas, Capiz.

Domingo Alonzo, 36, of Barangay Poblacion (Elizalde) was accused of selling drugs.

Recovered from the suspect were three sachets of suspected shabu, P1000 buy bust money and a cellphone.

The charges were filed before the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office.
