The mighty Team USA men’s basketball squad are finally in the winning column of the Tokyo Olympics after handing Iran a crushing defeat, 120-66.

It was all Team USA from the get-go as the revitalized team did major adjustments from their shocking first game loss against the French national team.

The ball moved better this time with the US hoopers averaging four to five passes to generate the best possible offense they could.

Also, the insertion of quick and pesky guards in Devin Booker and Jrue Holiday was a major turnaround with their recently concluded win as the duo forced several turnovers which turned into points for USA.

Team USA racked up a massive 19-point fast break production courtesy of the changes head coach Gregg Popovich employed.

Also, the team made up for their horrible shooting against France and buried 19 of their 39 attempts from three-point land.

Damian Lillard led the American onslaught who scored 21 big points off his seven made treys backstopped by Booker who chipped in 16 points.

Six players from the US were able to reach the double-digit score mark. Joining Lillard and Booker are Kevin Durant, Jayson Tatum, Khris Middleton, and Zach Lavine.

Iran was led by superstar center Hamed Haddadi who scored 15 points for his team but is still not enough to somehow trim the deficit down.
