BACOLOD City – Police have no lead yet on the identities of the perpetrators who robbed a teacher and carnapped his motorcycle in Barangay Malubon, Sagay City, Negros Occidental last Thursday.

Police Lt. Abundio Diaz, officer-in-charge of Sagay City Police Station, said the 37-year-old teacher was riding his motorcycle on his way to San Carlos City, when he was flagged down by three unidentified robbers on board two motorcycles.

“May shortcut na da abi so dira siya naglabay pa San Carlos,” Diaz added.

When the victim stopped, one of the robbers then allegedly threatened him at gunpoint, while the two others allegedly took his driven motorcycle, cellular phone, Automated Teller Machine (ATM) card, and identification cards, Diaz said.

The suspects, whose faces were covered with face masks and helmets, then fled towards Barangay Paraiso, leaving the victim unharmed, Diaz said.
