Tattoo artist nabbed in drug bust

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 34-year-old tattoo artist was arrested Thursday afternoon in a drug buy-bust operation conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) of the Roxas City Police Station and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Barangay 1 here.

Michael Adrias of Sitio San Juan, Barangay Baybay here was collared after handing over a sachet of suspected illegal drug to a poseur-buyer.

PMSG Ramil Arcangeles, Roxas City Police Station spokesperson, said five sachets of suspected shabu were recovered from Adrias including the P500 marked money and a cellphone.

Adrias was allegedly on the list of the SDET and activities were monitored after his arrest previously in Kalibo, Aklan.

He managed to get out of jail through plea bargaining agreement.

Aside from violations of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, he was also served a warrant of arrest for the crime of grave threats way back in 2009.

Adrias is presently detained at the Roxas City police station while charges for violations of R.A. 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared against him.
