SWU PHINMA upgrades Aznar Coliseum

To provide its students and athletes with the best training facilities, the Southwestern University (SWU) PHINMA renovated the Aznar Coliseum, a strategic move that is aligned with its mission of honing their students to become the best that they can be in any field.

This is part of the university’s P800-million budget spent for the construction and upgrades of several campus facilities, which started in 2018 and will continue in 2019.

The coliseum now features maple flooring for the basketball court, which was installed by E-Sports International Inc., the Philippines’ foremost sports facility supplier. It also has three high volume low-speed fans to add to the comfort of 3,000 to 4,000 spectators, and a skybox for VIPs.

It also has a world-class strength and conditioning facility with rooms that foster recovery of athletes.

Aznar Coliseum’s upgrade is also a manifestation of SWU PHINMA’s initiative to enhance and revitalize the SWU Cobras as well as offer unmatched experiences for students to watch and support the university team.

Apart from being a training facility for SWU PHINMA’s students, Aznar Coliseum will also serve as a venue for games, tournaments, and competitions.
