A security guard was wounded in a gun attack inside a call center in Mandurriao, Iloilo City.

The incident happened at the security office of a call center in Barangay Bolilao, Mandurriao, around 10:30 p.m. on March 8.

Police identified the victim as Harold Ticot, 35, of Oton, Iloilo.

He suffered gunshot wounds on the left side of his abdomen and left shoulder.

Police identified the suspect as Lloyd Katipunan, a resident of Barangay Gua-an, Leganes, Iloilo.

Both Ticot and Katipunan are employees of the First Delta Group of Security Agency where the former is the assistant officer-in-charge.

Katipunan, on the other hand, was just suspended from work effective March 7.

Staff Sergeant Antonio L. Santiañez Jr., Mandurriao police chief, said that the victim was on duty at the security office when the suspect barged inside.

There was no argument. The suspect just pulled a gun and shot the victim once.

Katipunan immediately fled after the incident on board his motorcycle.

Santiañez said the victim found no reason why the suspect attacked him.

Ticot claimed that he even considered Katipunan a friend.

Santiañez said that the suspect might have blamed Ticot for his suspension.

But according to reports, Katipunan was suspended for abandonment of his post.

Santiañez said they conducted a hot pursuit operation but failed to arrest the suspect.
