PHOENIX Fuel Masters all-star forward Calvin “The Beast” Abueva was seen playing in an inter-barangay league in Montalban, Rizal while serving an indefinite suspension slapped by the PBA.

The suspension was imposed after Abueva had a verbal squabble with Bobby Ray Parks’ girlfriend actress Maika Rivera and a separate incident with TNT Katropa’s Terrence Jones.

Abueva committed a hard foul and clotheslined Jones that almost caused a rumble between both benches.

With Abueva still suspended, Phoenix was not able to make it to the quarterfinals in the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.

Phoenix badly missed Abueva’s production, not to mention the hustle and scrappiness he brings each game.

Phoenix head coach Louis Alas said in an interview, “We’re looking at putting him in rehab for anger management. Well, it’s not necessarily anger management, but we’re looking at having him work on how he reacts to situations.”

There is still no specific date for Abueva’s return.
