During the 2018 Batang Pinoy,14.7 million worth of sports equipment was donated by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) to Iloilo City.

After the appointment of the new city government officials by newly elected Iloilo City mayor Jerry P. Treñas, one division then faced a big question and indeed, a problem.

The current Iloilo City Sports Development Division administration, led by newly appointed sports czar Rudiver Jungco Sr. is still searching for the 14.7 M worth of equipment donated by the PSC to the past administration.

With Jungco and his office gathering no traces or signs of the equipment, he then called the attention of the national PSC to tackle the problem.

In a meeting with the PSC, Jungco stated that the equipment handed down were lost and cannot be found.

In line with this, the PSC officials then contacted the persons they handed down the equipment to, those involved in the transaction and those present during the turnover.

“We’ve discussed last time, with the PSC about the unrecovered equipment handed down to Iloilo City last Batang Pinoy. They already beeped the person behind the turnover last year and we are waiting for the response. The Ilonggo athletes need those badly, especially now that we are aiming to level up the Ilonggo athletes,” Jungco told the Daily Guardian in an interview.
