A conflict that started on social media ended in violence between a town official and another man in San Miguel, Iloilo.

The suspect, Mikhaill Tadifa, Sangguniang Kabataan federation president of San Miguel town, remains at large, as of this writing.

Tadifa, 24, a resident of Barangay 11, San Miguel, allegedly shot Dyezrelle Malaygay around 10:55 p.m. of August 13.

Tadifa allegedly stormed Malaygay’s abode at Barangay San Jose, San Miguel after the two exchanged heated words on social media.

Major Sullen Domingo, San Miguel police chief, said Malaygay made comments over the town’s basketball tournament.

This did not sit well with Tadifa until the two agreed to meet.

On board a motorcycle, the suspect went to Malaygay’s place.

Without any exchange of words, he shot the victim in the head.

Luckily, the victim only suffered a graze wound on his temple.

Tadifa immediately fled after the incident while the victim was rushed to Iloilo Mission Hospital.

A case for frustrated murder will be filed against Tadifa.
