Six Bacolod cops feted

BACOLOD City – Six personnel of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) were awarded at Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 in Iloilo City last Thursday, for their significant accomplishment against the illegal drug trade here.

Police Major Joery Puerto, head of Police Station 8, and Police Lieutenant Joven Mogato, head of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) received Medalya ng Kadakilaan or the Philippine National Police (PNP) Distinguished Conduct Medal.

Police Staff Sergeants Jimedel Dellonardo, Roberto Jiballa Jr, Frederick Fronda, and Jefferson Nueva also received the same medals.

PNP chief Police General Rodolfo Azurin Jr. pinned the medals to the said policemen during the awarding ceremony.

Azurin lauded the awardees and expressed his satisfaction with the continuous conduct of anti-illegal drugs operations and the campaign against all forms of criminality.

“Indeed your sterling accomplishments contributed so much to the nation-building of our government,” Azurin said in a message, adding that the PNP as a whole greatly appreciates and values the hard work and services of the policemen each day.

Azurin visited the regional headquarters for the Local Peace Engagement Teams attended by various stakeholders in Western Visayas to strengthen the fight against terrorism and all forms of criminality in the region.
