SHYE shares bold new single ‘walk away’ from upcoming EP ‘idk it’s complicated’

Singer-songwriter and producer Shye today released her newest single “walk away”, along with the announcement that she will be dropping an EP titled ‘idk it’s complicated’ on October 7th. “walk away” is about “finding the strength to stand up for yourself and walk away from that one friend or person who makes you feel like a second option,” and fans can listen to it here.

This forthcoming EP sees Shye revisiting her bedroom pop sound. It touches on the complications of dealing with crushes and friendships, and finding the sweet spot where you feel you belong. “Navigating life in a fast-paced world can be complicated, but like a jigsaw puzzle, with patience, especially with ourselves, everything will fall into place,” she explains.

Shye will be holding her first headline show in Singapore since before the pandemic to launch her brand new EP ‘idk it’s complicated’ and celebrate her past work (award-winning debut EP ‘days to morning glory’ (2020) and 2021’s mini-album ‘hello TRINITY’). Shye’s new merchandise will be sold at the show with pre-order details to be announced on her social media platforms.

Special guests joining her on stage include opening act, Days of Television, whom Shye discovered when she held an open call for auditions under her new initiative, hear me up, which aims to support and provide a platform for the undiscovered.
