ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The house of a senior citizen was bombed with a grenade and riddled with bullets by two alleged minors Sunday evening at Sitio RMB, Barangay Agsirab in Dumarao Capiz.

Medelina Arevalo Porcal, 64, complained to Dumarao police that she saw two minors believed to be 15 and 17 years old, both of Poblacion Dumarao, lob the hand grenade and strafe her house at around 9:00 pm.

Fortunately, no one was hurt.

An investigation by Dumarao Municipal Police Station indicated that Porcal was about to sleep when she heard an explosion outside her house.

She then peeped through her window and saw the suspects walking towards the back portion of her house.

Minutes later, gunfire was heard followed by the footsteps of the two suspects fleeing from the scene.

The police recovered two empty shells and one live ammunition of 12-gauge shotgun, 6 empty shells of caliber .45 ammunition, and shrapnel from the hand grenade.

Police are eyeing old grudges as the motive.
