3×3 HOOPERS will be back in action, ladies and gents.

On Aug 31, 2019 the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas will hold the U18 3×3 Region 6 eliminations at Saint John’s Institute gym, Bacolod City and Tibiao Municipal court, Antique.

Boys and girls born January 1, 2001 or later are eligible for the competition.

The winners in the eliminations will be qualified for the September regional finals in Iloilo City.

The regional winners will then represent Western Visayas in an all-expense-paid trip to the National Finals on October 26-29 in Metro Manila.

The Bacolod eliminations are headed by Negros Occidental SBP Director Tony Agustin ably supported by Coach Tata Belangel while the Antique eliminations are led by Sir Jojo Pardico supported by the Provincial and Tibiao local officials as well as schools in the province.

Region 6 SBP Director Robert L. Uy is encouraging young boys and girls as well as the coaches and parents to join and support the SBP program 3X3, as every game played will earn a point from FIBA granted to the country.

The top 20 countries that will have the highest points will punch a ticket to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics 3×3.

This is SBP’s way of granting every Filipino’s dream to see the Philippines represented in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Toyota is the Region 6 major sponsor with help coming from Metro Iloilo Bulk Water.
