In a span of one week, the PLDT High Speed Hitters built one of its best rosters ever.
After signing superstar libero Kath Arado to signal the start of its rebuild, the High Speed Hitters also added former Ateneo Lady Eagles star Jules Samonte, former Far Eastern University (FEU) player Heather Guino-o, Philippine women’s volleyball team middle blocker Dell Palomata, and former Sta. Lucia Realtor Jovy Prado.
PLDT is also under a new head coach in George Pascua after the team announced the departure of its long-time coach, the legendary Roger Gorayeb.
With the team now finalizing its members, PLDT is looking to go back to its winning ways in the upcoming 2022 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Open Conference eyed to kick off this February 16.
The High Speed Hitters are targeting to bounce back from a disappointing 3-6 win-loss record finish last PVL conference.
Arado, Samonte, Guino-o, Palomata, and Prado will join PDLT’s core members of Rhea Dimaculangan, Nieza Viray, Chin Basas, and Eli Soyud.
Aside from the newly-signed quartet, the High Speed Hitters also added Wendy Semana, Fiola Ceballos, and Lhara Clavano to reinforce their team in the 2022 season.
