BACOLOD City – Two persons lost P10,000 in sales collections to the same suspects who have been robbing delivery vans in Cauayan, Negros Occidental.

The latest robbery happened at Sitio Sialay, Purok 5, Barangay Bulata in Cauayan last Thursday.

Police Major Anthony Grande, town police chief, said the two victims positively identified the two alleged robbers as Pedrito Capulot, and Christopher Fajardo, both residents of Barangay Elihan, based on the photos shown to them by the police.

Grande said the victims, including a sales agent, were collecting money from a store when one of the robbers suddenly approached them from behind and declared the heist.

Aside from cash, the robbers also allegedly carted away the company’s tablet and cellular phone.

The other robber went to the panel van and allegedly took the key to the vehicle and a sling bag containing a tablet charger and a printer charger.

The suspects fled on board a motorcycle.

Grande said these suspects were also implicated in the previous robbery hold-up of another panel van crew on August 2.

“Modus nila na may gapangkolekta tapos ang proceeds, amo na ila target,” Grande said.

Since June, Grande said that three robbery hold-up incidents were reported in the town, victimizing those on board a panel van.

Meanwhile, in Murcia town, a 48-year-old woman was also robbed by an elderly man in Barangay Pandanon Silos last Wednesday.

According to the police, the victim was walking when she was attacked by the suspect who declared a hold-up.

Robbed from the victim was a backpack containing a wallet with P4,000 and a plastic piggy bank with P5,000.

The suspect was later arrested by the police.
