BACOLOD City – A man believed to be executed or “salvaged” by unidentified men was found at an old quarry site in Purok 11, Sitio Arceo, Barangay Alangilan here yesterday.

Police Captain Romulo Gepilango, head of Police Station 5, identified the fatality as Ryan Delgado, 29, of the said village.

Gepilango said Delgado was half-naked when found by some residents around 7 a.m. His hands were hogtied with his shirt.

Gepilango said the victim sustained two gunshot wounds on the head and another gunshot wound on his body.

Gepilango said the victim asked permission from his mother to go out to look for frogs Saturday night, but he failed to go home that night.

Delgado was allegedly with a young boy when they went to the site, where he would usually look for frogs, he added.

His family asked assistance from the police, the following day, when they learned about the victim’s situation.

Police responded and recovered from the scene three fired bullets of an unknown firearm.

“We could not yet establish if he was shot at close range,” the station commander said.

He said they have no lead yet on the motive and identities of two or more suspects behind the killing.

“We do not have witnesses who can testify on the incident. We are also checking if indeed he had a companion when he went there to help us in the investigation,” he added.

He also said that the victim had no drug-related records as well as criminal records with the police.
