After Jim Sencil and Miguel Sasuman announced their debut in the JB Amateur Basketball League, another superstar is also set to dazzle the Ilonggo hoop community.

Ryan Calamaan, a former Sta. Clarita International School superstar, also announced that he will suit up for the Asialink/E&C Trucking squad and take the JB ABL league by storm.

Standing 6’4” with good handles and a perimeter game, Calamaan raised comparisons to a young Kevin Durant.

Calamaan’s height and ballhandling coupled with his shooting touch makes him a perfect weapon on the offensive end, reason why he was one of the most highly-touted high school players in the history of Iloilo.

Garnering attention during his monster performances against their rival Hua Siong during the ILOPRISAA meet, Calamaan displayed a unique play style that was unusual for his height.

Calamaan was also the leader of the 2017 Western Visayas Palarong Pambansa squad where he received multiple offers from schools based in Luzon.

Probably the highlight of his young career was being a representative of the Philippines during the 9th ASEAN School Games in Singapore last 2017.

Calamaan’s addition to the Asialink team will only improve their chances of winning it all, especially this year where they also acquired OJNA’s superstar, Jayjay Guanzon.
