PUBLIC SHAMING: Mayor warns employees who charge fees on transactions

ILOILO CITY Mayor Jerry Treñas warned that he will publicly shame employees who are charging fees on all transactions in the City Hall.

Treñas issued the warning after receiving reports that some departments at the City Hall that are charging fees on some government transactions.

According to Treñas, he will publicly interrogate the guilty employee.

The mayor emphasized that government officials and employees should serve the public instead of taking advantage of them.

“I want to prove a point nga ari kita tanan di para magserbisyo, ginapabudlayan naton ang tawo daw indi nami,” he stressed.
