PSA RSSO-6 bags top prize in national CRVS Quiz

Mary Grace D. Dorilag was declared national champion during the 1st CRVS Quiz Bee for CRS Outlet Supervisors.

Mary Grace D. Dorilag of the Philippine Statistics Authority Regional Statistical Services (PSA RSSO)-6 bagged the championship in the 1st National Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) Quiz Bee for PSA Outlet Supervisors via virtual platform on Feb 2, 2022

The CRVS Quiz Bee is one of the activities in line with the month-long celebration of the Civil Registration Month (CRM).

Separate from the national quiz bee, the PSA also conducted the CRM Quiz Bee in two categories: (a) Local Civil Registrar Office personnel; and (b) PSA personnel.

In the LCRO category, the municipality of Jordan, Guimaras represented by Mr. Michael C. Espargo won first place. The second placer was Ms. Robyn Lois F. Gaylan of Buenavista, Guimaras while Mr. Eleny G. Balgos of Dao, Capiz was the third placer.

Ms. Nerissa Campaniel of the Statistical Operations and Coordination Division (SOCD) of PSA RSSO-6 won first place in the PSA personnel category.

Ms. Mary Joy S. Villegas of Guimaras Provincial Statistical Office won second place and Mr. Peter S. Mangilog of Aklan Provincial Statistical Office landed on third place.

The winners were awarded cash prizes and certificates of appreciation. The competitions were conducted to encourage awareness and enhance the knowledge on the importance of Civil Registration Laws and operational processes.

Aside from the quiz bee, the CRM culminating activity held on Feb 28 by PSA RSSO-6 also included Infographics Making contest, E-Poster Making contest, and lecture series on CRVS.

The Winners of the E-Poster Making Contest were PSA SOCD (1st place), PSA Aklan (2nd place), PSA Antique (3rd place).

The winners of the Infographics Making contest were PSA Aklan (1st place), PSA Antique (2nd place), PSA Guimaras (3rd place).

All winners received certificates and cash prizes after successfully using their knowledge and creativity to come up with the entry that conveyed this year’s civil registration month theme, “Improving Civil Registration and Vital Statistics Implementation Strategies through Digital Transformation.”

The culminating activity ended with the closing remarks of Officer-in-Charge Nelida C. Amolar.
