PSA-Aklan starts PhilID registration in offices

PSA Aklan conducts mobile registration for PhilID in Camp Jizmundo, Libas, Banga.

KALIBO, AKLAN The Philippine Statistics Authority-Aklan has started the registration for PhilID of employees in different institutions in the province last July 14.

The registration roll-out in various offices aims to augment and hasten the enrollment of individuals in the Philippine Identification System.

Among the institutions that joined the activity were the Aklan Provincial Capitol, Land Bank of the Philippines, Regional Trial Court, Aklan Provincial Engineer’s Office, Infant Jesus Academy, and Camp Jizmundo in Libas, Banga.

A total of 3,727 employees, including some of their families, were enrolled in PhilSys during the registration.

Engr. Antonet Catubuan, head of PSA-Aklan, said government and private institutions who want to avail of this service could send request to the provincial office.

Catubuan also urged employees to prepare necessary documents as proof of identity during registration which include, among others, birth certificate, UMID ID, passport, driver’s license, PRC ID, seaman’s book, OWWA ID, SSS ID, 4Ps ID, voter’s ID, postal ID, TIN ID, NBI clearance, police clearance, solo parent’s ID, Phil health ID, senior citizen’s ID and PWD ID.

The registration for PhilID covers the collection of demographic data of registrants together with their biometrics like irises, fingerprints and front-facing photograph which are requirements in the production of identification card.

Aside from institutional registration, PSA-Aklan is also catering registrants in 13 municipal registrations centers installed in identified municipalities in Aklan.
