The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) 6 is calling for entries for the Statistical Infomercial and T-Shirt Design contests in line with the 33rd National Statistics Month (NSM) this October 2022.
The competitions are both anchored on this year’s theme “Boosting the Country’s Recovery with Informed Decisions, Better Policies” which emphasizes the critical role of statistics in crafting the most appropriate decisions and policies that are needed to boost efforts for recovery.
Both contests are open to all NSM participating agencies.
For the infomercial contest, each participating agency is allowed to submit only one entry.
Each entry should not exceed three minutes and 10 seconds and should contain statistical reports but must be presented creatively and easy to understand by the general public.
Copy of the infomercial of the participating agency, in MP4 or MOV format, should be sent to the WVSU Department of Mathematics email address cas_math@wvsu.edu.ph through Google Drive at 12 noon on October 17, 2022.
Judging of the infomercial shall be done during the launching on October 18, 2022, and will also be uploaded to the 33rd National Statistics Month-Western Visayas Facebook page until October 26.
The first placer will receive a cash prize of P7,000; second placer with P5,000; and third placer with P3,000. A special prize for the most viewed and most reacted infomercials will also receive a P1,000 cash prize, respectively. All awardees will also receive a certificate of recognition.
On the hand, entries for the T-Shirt Design Contest should be designed for a full sublimation dri-fit shirt, must include the Statman or the official logo of the celebration, and the texts of the theme “33rd National Statistics Month,” and “Western Visayas.”
A maximum of two designs or entries per participating agency is allowed for this contest.
The design should be exported into an A4 portable document format (pdf) file reflecting the front and back parts. This pdf file and the original Photoshop file of the design must be submitted to rsc6secretariat@gmail.com on or before 12 noon on September 30, 2022.
Entries received beyond the deadline shall automatically be disqualified, while the judging of entries will be on October 1 to 3, 2022.
The winning entry will be the official T-Shirt Design for the 33rd NSM celebration and the winner will receive a certificate and cash prize of P5,000.

Announcement of winners for both competitions will be done at the closing ceremony of the celebration tentatively scheduled on October 27, 2022.
