BACOLOD City – The Teresita Lopez Jalandoni Provincial Hospital (TLJPH) in Silay City, Negros Occidental suspended regular services due to rising COVID-19 cases.

In an advisory posted on the official social media page of the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental, TLJPH said the suspension was due to the rising number of COVID-19 exposures and infection among medical staff.

The services directly impacted by the suspension are the Outpatient Department (OPD) and the COVID-19 vaccination center.

Admissions to the hospital has also been limited to extreme emergency cases only, effective Monday morning.

TLJPH management also advised that all referrals will be coursed through the One Hospital System via the City or Municipal Health Offices.

“We again remind the public to refrain from unnecessary exposure and to observe minimum health protocols,” the advisory also said

Earlier, the hospital’s OB/Gyne OPD was also forced to suspended services after a number of medical workers either fell ill or tested positive for COVID-19.
