The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) has named a female officer to be its voice and face to the public.

Effective September 8, Major Mary Grace Socorro Borio will be the PRO-6 public information officer.

Lieutenant Colonel Arnel Solis, the outgoing PRO-6 spokesperson, announced on Friday that he will be signing off as spokesperson, a post he held for a year.

Solis said he had to leave the job to take the Officers Senior Executive Course (OSEC), a requisite for becoming a full-fledged police colonel.

Borio used to work for a local newspaper until she got enlisted in the PNP in 2004.

Several years later, she underwent schooling for her officership.

Apart from being the spokesperson, Borio is also the concurrent chief of the Strategy Review Section and Chief Scorecard Management and Alignment Section of the Regional Police Strategy Management Unit (RPSMU).
