THE Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) said the allegations linking the highest officer of Philippine National Police (PNP) to the illegal drugs trade has no effect on personnel.

Police Brigadier General Rene Pamuspusan, Western Visayas police chief, said on Tuesday that they have not monitored any demoralization within the PRO-6 ranks amid issues hurled against PNP chief General Oscar Albayalde.

Wala naman masyadong epekto because the chief PNP is doing everything para ma improve ang image ng PNP,” he said.

On top of that, Pamuspusan said PRO-6 personnel could discern that there’s no solid proof that links Albayalde to illegal drugs.

As one of staple issues being hurled at PNP, Pamuspusan said they’re used to it.

Besides, he said President Rodrigo Duterte has already spoken that there is no solid proof or evidence linking the chief PNP official to the case.

A day before that, Albayalde also urged the public to move on from the issue of “ninja cops” claiming that there is no concrete proof linking him to the illegal drug trade.

“I enjoin everyone to move on, now that the President has already spoken,” he said.

Duterte has earlier said he would offer no knee-jerk reaction to the issues thrown at Albayalde.

The PNP chief was accused of protecting ninja cops, or policemen reselling seized illegal drugs, under his command when he was still Pampanga police director.
