PhilSys Step 2 Registration at the Guimaras Provincial Capitol

The Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) Step 2 Registration registered 30,674 Guimarasnons in August 2021, accounting for 36.84 percent of the 83,256 target registrants in Guimaras province for 2021.

The registrants include 7,463 (24.33%) from the Buenavista Registration Center, 6,194 (20.19%) from the Nueva Valencia Registration Center, 5,245 (17.10%) from the Jordan Registration Center, 5,151 (16.79%) from the Fixed Registration Center (FRC), 3,478 (11.34%) in Sibunag Registration Center and 3,143 (10.25%) in San Lorenzo Registration Center.

As of August 31, 2021, a total of 5,899 landbank cash cards were dispersed to the successful step 2 registrants from the province’s six (6) PhilSys Registration Centers.

“Step 1 Online Registration is now available in the Province of Guimaras, where Guimarasnons from non-pilot barangays during the Assisted Step 1 registration could register online through the PhilSys official website at https://register.philsys.gov.ph/,” Provincial Statistics Officer, Nelida B. Losare said.

The use of this platform is highly encouraged wherein the collection of registrants’ demographic data is done online, and they are allowed to book a schedule for the Step 2 Registration which is the capturing of biometrics data at the Fixed Registration Center located at the ground flr. of the PSA Office in San Miguel, Jordan Guimaras,” Losare added.

To fast-track the PhilSys implementation in the province, PSA-Guimaras deployed PhilSys mobile registration teams to the Buenavista Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) and in Guimaras Provincial Capitol.

“The PhilSys mobile registration in the province will ensure an all-inclusive registration to the PhilID where the disadvantaged Filipinos to include Persons Deprived of Liberty have given priority as well as the capitol employees in order not to hamper their office operation and services to the general public,” Losare said

Losare also said that in partnership with PhilPost, the delivery of the National ID at the registrant’s chosen delivery address is within three (3) to six (6) months after the successful completion of the Step 2 Registration.

“Due to the rising cases of COVID-19 in the province, registrants are highly encouraged to adhere to the health and safety protocol to ensure safe and efficacious operations of the PhilSys Step 2 Registration,” Losare said.
