The PhilSys Mobile team in Guimaras registered an additional 39,868 Guimarasnons in 2022 PhilSys Step 2 registration accounting for 47.86 percent of the 83,298 total provincial targets in Guimaras Province.
“In 2021, PhilSys registrants reached 103,541, accounted for 124.36 percent of the 83,256 total provincial targets in Guimaras,” Provincial Statistics Officer Nelida B. Losare said.
“The two consecutive years of PhilSys Step 2 registration accumulated 143,409 Guimarasnon registrants,” Losare added.
Of the 39,868 registrants last year, 11,033 were from Buenavista, 8,976 from San Lorenzo, 8,380 were from Jordan, 7,332 were from Nueva Valencia, and 4,147 from Sibunag.
“The said registrants were a mixed of walk-in clients (30,342), Assisted Step 1 Registration (9,524), and two (2) online appointments,” Losare added.
Losare added that the PhilSys Step 2 team conducted mobile registration in ninety-one (91) schools in the province – a mix of public and private schools.
“The continuation of mobile registration for schools for S.Y 2022-2023, which targeted students aged 5 to 14, helped the PhilSys Guimaras team to register more unregistered individuals for the last quarter of 2022 and for the remaining schools, will be scheduled for the Q1 of 2023. The team coordinated with the Department of Education (DepEd) Schools Division of Guimaras to conduct mobile registration per school,” Losare said.
“This strategy is part of the saturation plan of PhilSys Guimaras to reach all unregistered individuals and be included in the government central identification platform for all Filipino citizens and resident aliens of the Philippines.”
Losare said that despite the unpredictable weather conditions in the vicinity, PhilSys Guimaras still managed to deliver quality service to the people through this approach.
