The Philippine National Arnis team bagged 24 gold medals, 11 silver, and three bronze in the recently concluded 2019 Chungju World Martial Arts Festival in Chungju, South Korea.

Aside from the medals that they brought home, they were also awarded the “Most Popular Team” of the Martial Arts Festival.

The Arts Festival was divided into four tournaments: The International Jang Sanaty Tournament, International Thang Ta Tournament, International Martial Arts Contest, and the Pre-SEA Games Arnis Goodwill Games.

The team was awarded “Most Popular” due to their politeness with other competitors, staff, and technical officials.

After their South Korean stint, the national team will again banner the Philippine flag in the upcoming 30th Southeast Asian Games.
