PhilHealth Regional Office (PRO)-6 in partnership with the Province of Guimaras and the Municipality of Nueva Valencia conducted a KonSulTa mass registration recently.
More than 200 Guimarasnons flocked in the New Municipal Function Hall of Nueva Valencia to register to their chosen KonSulTa Provider to avail of the initial health screening and assessment.
“We are happy with the outcome of the mass registration. Amidst our current situation, this only show that preserving one’s health is of paramount importance to our members,” said PhilHealth 6 Acting Regional Vice President Janet A. Monteverde.
Under the KonSulTa or Konsultasyong Sulit at Tama benefit package, PhilHealth members and dependents can avail of the expanded primary health care services which include professional services, laboratories as well as drugs and medicines for the common conditions like hypertension, diabetes and dyslipidemia, among others.
Monteverde added that the KonSulTa benefit package covers essential services aimed at prevention, early detection and interventions for healthy living.
PhilHealth members and dependents are entitled to the 13 laboratory tests including CBC, urinalysis, sputum microscopy, fecal occult blood, pap smear, lipid profile, Fasting Blood Sugar (FBS), oral glucose tolerance test, ECG, chest x-ray, creatinine and HBA1C test.
Currently, Guimaras has seven (7) KonSulTa providers namely Buenavista Emergency Hospital, Buenavista RHU & Birthing Facility, Dr. Catalino Gallego Nava Provincial, JMB Polyclinic & Pharmacy, Nueva Valenciia District Hospital, RHU Nueva Valencia and San Lazaro RHU.
Meanwhile, PhilHealth encourages all members to register to the KonSulTa provider of their choice by logging into the PhilHealth Member Portal through www.philhealth.gov.ph or through the assistance of PhilHealth CARES stationed in accredited health care facilities or to the nearest Local Health Insurance Office (LHIO) of PhilHealth.
