The Philippine Women’s National Indoor Volleyball Team just added Premier Volleyball League (PVL) standouts Deanna Wong, Kat Tolentino, and Jema Galanza in their current pool.

The trio will then have the chance to represent the Philippines in the upcoming 2021 Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship this October.

After a successful PVL bubble, PH team head coach Odjie Mamon and assistant Jorge Edson Souza de Brito of Brazil saw something in them that immediately led to their national team call-up.

Wong, one of the country’s rising stars, was the runner-up in the Best Setter award during the recently concluded PVL Open Conference who averaged an impressive 5.79 successful sets per game.

Tolentino, Wong’s teammate with the Choco Mucho Flying Titans, was PVL’s newly hailed Best Opposite Spiker and showed her true potential through her offensive artillery.

Lastly, Galanza, the 2019 Open Conference Most Valuable Player (MVP), will be a valuable addition to the national team’s firepower.

Completing the national team roster are Tin Tiamzon, Jaja Santiago, Iris Tolenada, Majoy Baron, Mhicaela Belen, Kamille Cal, Rhea Dimaculangan, Kim Dy, Imee Hernandez, Ivy Lacsina, Eya Laure, Dawn Macandili, Dindin Santiago-Manabat, Aby Maraño, Kalei Mau, Ria Meneses, Jennifer Nierva, Faith Nisperos, Mylene Paat, Dell Palomata, Bernadette Pepito, and MJ Phillips.
