The PH representatives in the E-sports Tekken 7 event already have their eyes on the prize.

The duo of Alexandre Gabrielle “AK” Laverez and Andreij Hosea “Doujin” Albar confidently spoke about their aim to finish with a gold medal while also acknowledging the competition.

The duo specifically identified the Thai team as the biggest threat in their quest.

According to them, Thailand had many professional Tekken players that consistently join tournaments, not to mention they have Friki – a world-renowned Tekken player.

But the PH duo also brags of milestones of their own, including upset wins against giants in the pro scene.

In the recent 2019 EVO Japan tournament, Laverez took down some big names on his way to winning a silver medal for the PH.

Albar has been making his name in the Tekken scene as one of the most versatile players right now, mastering a huge pool of 20 fighters compared to some who just master 1 or 2.

“We will surely do our best to get both the gold and silver in the upcoming SEA Games and we’ll make the Philippines proud,” Albar said.
