Ending the Arnis event on an ecstatic note with 14 gold medals, the PH team’s hard work, sweat, and tears was all worth it as they delivered a huge bounty to the country and the people that supported them from day 1 from their training to the 2019 Southeast Asian Games.

The PH arnis team conquered the Angeles University Foundation by dominating every category in Arnis, collecting a total of 22 medals, 14 gold, 6 silvers, and 2 bronze medals.

Despite failing to sweep the whole event, the PH squad still topped the results with the emphatic medal tally they had.

SEAG first-timer Mary Allin Aldeguer, who also clinched a gold medal in the Anyo Open Weapon Non-Traditional events, expressed how hard it was for her to notch the victory.

“Sobrang naging emotional ako kasi mostly pagbagong competition, hindi ko agad nakukuha yung gold. Pero sabi ko this time, first time ko lang sa SEA Games, gagawin ko po ‘yung best ko para sa family ko, sa bansa and sa mga sumusuporta sa akin,” said Aldeguer.
