BankoPerlas Spikers crushed the Reinforced Conference Champions PetroGazz Angels in just 4 sets, 25-20, 11-25, 25-21, 25-18, in the opening day of the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference.
The Spikers looked too much for the Angels as they pummeled the champions from the back-line to cross spikes.
The 30 errors committed by the Angels contributed to their sub-par performance which the Spikers readily took advantage of.
BankoPerlas capitalized on the Angels’ errors, converting miscues to points on the other end.
DziGervacio tallied 14 big points and 17 digs for the winning squad while Nicole Tiamzon contributed 12 points.
The win was a confidence booster for BankoPerlas as they dismantled one of the formidable teams in the PVL.
