P966,000 worth of ‘shabu’ seized from 22 persons

BACOLOD City – An estimated total of P966,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized from 22 persons who were arrested in separate buy-bust operations here and in Negros Occidental from November 6 to 11.

Of the total amount, P543,000 worth of illegal drugs was recovered in the province while P423,000 worth of the same contraband was confiscated here in the past six days.

A total of 14 persons were arrested in the province while eight others were collared here.

The buy-bust operations were conducted in the cities of Silay, Sagay, and Victorias, and towns of Manapla, Binalbagan, and La Castellana in the province.

In Bacolod, drug busts were conducted at Barangays 2, 3, 14, 19, 32, 40, Vista Alegre, and Banago. Arrested suspects are detained at Police Stations 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, and 8.

The recent drug raid was conducted at Barangay Mambulac, Silay City, with the arrest of Hector Pabon, 50, of the said village. Police recovered from him 20 grams of suspected shabu worth P300,000, drug paraphernalia, the P500 marked money, and P4,000 boodle money.
