BACOLOD City – Around 125 grams of suspected shabu worth P850,000 were seized in a buy-bust operation in Tanjay City, Negros Oriental last Thursday, based on a report from Police Regional Office (PRO)-7.

The subject was identified as Charlito Lado Jr., 40, of Barangay Tugas.

Also confiscated from Lado were the marked money, and P60,000 believed to be proceeds of his drug trade.

The recovery in the province is part of the P8 million drug haul of police in Central Visayas in the past few days.

Police Brigadier General Roderick Augustus Alba, PRO-7 director, warned those who continue to challenge the law.

“Hindi po kami titigil sa paghahabol sa inyo,” he stressed.

The accomplishment was made just two weeks after the launching of Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan (BIDA) in the Visayas, an anti-illegal drugs advocacy program of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).

While we have made considerable gains in our supply reduction efforts, we still need to continue the momentum through the relentless pursuit of the remaining drug groups and personalities operating in the region, Alba said.
